It is good to be back at Bag End, but I really do not want to launch straight back into spending hours on the computer sorting photos (there are hundreds), writing blog posts.
The 'vacation' is going to be extended, and it might be a little while before I get round to blogging.

It's good to see you back, if only briefly. I love the first photo, 'scuse my ignorance but what's the little bird? I had a lovely afternoon out with the girls last Sunday, just managed to write a blog post about it but still having pc problems so I'm a bit in limbo at the moment. Wanted to go back there today but the weather here is rather dull so I'm waiting for the sun to shine again.
ReplyDeleteThanks Eunice. As best I can tell the bird is a Rock Pipit, lovely little thing :-)
DeleteIt does take such a long time to sort photos and write up a post about everything you've been up to, I totally understand you extending the holiday. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteCheers Jo. I've already spent hours just looking through the multitude of pictures. Giving the blog some breathing space is definitely the right thing to do.
DeleteBeautiful photos. I hope you had a wonderful trip :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Nikki-ann, it was absolutely brilliant and I chose a wonderful week weather-wise :-)
DeleteSO glad you had a good holiday and are extending your break. I am sure we shall all be glad to see you when you decide to come back to blogging. Bev x
ReplyDeleteThanks Bev, I shall still be around - maybe I will have time to enjoy everyone else's blogs :-)
DeleteIt sounds blissful, Jayne. Sorting photographs can wait. X
ReplyDeleteIt was pretty special Jules, I think you would have liked some of the places. xx
DeleteEnjoy your break ... we’ll still be here when you come back xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Eileen, I see you have been busy too. x
DeleteThat's OK, just glad to know you're home safe and sound. Look forward to those pics when you are ready. Take care & huggles.
ReplyDeleteHi sweetie, sorry we didn't get ourselves co-ordinated enough to Skype :-( That would have been fun. xx

DeleteIt was good to catch up with your recent posts. I'm away at the moment ('though not on holiday as such) so not in Blogland as much as I'd like either. Your Scottis foray looks to have been good and was, I assume, up the West coast. I look forward to the pictures.
ReplyDeleteThanks Graham - "west - ish", Mull of Galloway - deserted, peaceful, quiet, very glad that most people go straight on at Gretna when I turn left!
DeleteYou seem to have had a good break away from the old routine. I would love to be out and about in our caravan, however the house is in such a mess at the moment. We're decorating the living room and stuff is everywhere. Hoping to get plastering and new windows done this week then we can get on with painting and wallpaper.
ReplyDeleteSounds like this is exactly when you should get away Eleanor!
DeleteThrilled that you had such a great time. Welcome home. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks sweetie. Suspect my birthday was more relaxed than yours, pfnar, pfnar, pfnar!!!!!
DeleteIt takes me long enough to sort through photos after just a day out!!!
ReplyDeleteAmen to that Sue, six days, +> 1,500 images . . .
DeleteI’ve taken that many on a single day!!!!! I’m a devil for continuous shooting especially where wildlife is concerned. It’s a shock when you come to downloading!
ReplyDeleteKeep the vacation feeling, going..........
ReplyDeleteTake as long as you need but please share with us eventually! I'm looking forward to seeing your photos. I'm glad you had such a good trip. x
ReplyDeleteYour holiday looks and sounds so peaceful and restful no wonder you want it to carry on:)
ReplyDeleteI'm also looking forward to your photo's so take a break and then come back and show them to us. Enjoy your extended holiday :)

I shall look forward to your photos and words. Thank you for stopping by; our blogs seem to have originated from a similar source but may have taken a divergent path.
ReplyDeleteIKWYM It takes a bit to settle back in to the homeplace after a trip. Glad you had the chance to do a little wandering around the countryside.
