Finishing the vegetable beds - March 2016

A sedentary day - the weather has turned, it is much milder but with that comes rain.  If the forecast is correct it will not freeze tonight, fingers crossed.

A day for being indoors, pootering about on the computer.  As well as my big project to scan the old printed photographs, I also have made myself pay attention to a far-too-large backlog of photos, mostly of the garden, which never got sorted/saved/deleted/published.  With nothing happening today to write home about, so to speak, I've dug something out of the pending bin:

The date on the build photos is 22nd March 2016,  LP and I finally finished the woodwork in the vegetable area.

A month later he insisted on commemorating that milestone by climbing on the shed roof . . . so the not-quite-a-drone pictures are from his phone.

  1. Ah, remember you talking about the new veg beds, but that is nearly 3 years ago & I know you've been getting lots of produce from them over time. Actually I've seen them, when Mgt took me round the garden while you were cooking chicken, (big smile). Glad it was LP on the roof. Do you ever hear from him & how he's going? Take care.

    1. Three years ?????? I cannot possibly be that long!

Yes, LP and I have a catch up on the phone every 3 or 4 months, he has built a new life for himself, is very happy and has no regrets.

    1. Don't be envious Marlene, think of how much more time you can spend sitting in your garden enjoying it, whilst I am still working away . . .

    1. They look very different now, with the net house on top of them.
I miss LP in as much as he was a good mate who is no longer here, but I do not miss the endless work, having to keep an eye on everything he did, and spending whole days outside when I didn't want to!

    1. Thank you Kris, lovely to hear from you again. Not sure about the TONS of green stuff, I am definitely 'not' a natural vegetable grower.

I love receiving your comments, you know I do, and always try to respond to each and every one.

Sometimes it is the only way I know I am not talking to myself . . . 😊
