That's a little more winter-like

No Bag End snow this morning, but extremely cold.  At the top of Kirkstone Pass the weather webcam from Cumbria Highways showed the conditions to be pretty similar to here:

Cloud rolled across after lunch but it never really cleared enough to get a good shot of the Whiteside ridge living up to its name

Although the webcam showed a bit of a whiteout at Kirkstone

Daisy slept her way through most of the day;  the woodburner went on early and I pottered back and forwards between the snooker and the scanner, nearly a whole album today, but it's a huge one.

  1. Aww Daisy has the right idea. I wish I could hibernate :)
Good to hear you're tackling the photo scanning.

    1. Hi Eileen, we were talking about hibernating yesterday and decided that's what our bodies want to do naturally at this time of year.

Scanning is a long, slow job but I will feel great when it is finished :)

  2. It rained through the night, just dull cloudy and cold here.

  3. It rained here for much of yesterday but turned to sleet in the evening. There was a very thin covering when I went to bed last night but this morning it was gone again - it's currently fine but very grey.

I love the second photo of Daisy, she definitely has the right idea. I think when I'm Prime Minister I shall make it a rule that everyone hibernates from the end of October to the end of March :) :)

    1. You'll have my vote Eunice :-) Hibernating makes total sense, we are mammals and no way our bodies or brains can change as fast as society does. We weren't designed to stay up with artificial light for hours in the winter.

  4. Dare I ask, if every single photo, was very necessary, to keep? (I am such a spoil-sport, aren't I?) -grin-

    S-N-O-W coming here!!!!!!

    1. No dare needed :-) I am not keeping every single picture, but I'm starting with hundreds, if not thousands . . . I've been taking pictures since I was old enough to hold a camera.

  5. Boy, does Daisy have the right idea on how to spend a cold day, or what? Glad you're making progress on the photos.

    1. I regularly think Daisy has got the most sense of any of us!
