Quiet

One of those days where neither the weather or I ever got round to waking up properly.  Probably more tired from working outside than I expected to be, today has been quiet, pottering, indoors except for taking Daisy out.

Outside it was dull with low cloud, not particularly cold and not raining, but not particularly inviting either.  But not a wasted day;  whilst putting the last box of Christmas decorations in the loft I saw a pile of boxes saved from purchases that are now outside their guarantee so can be thrown away. Getting rid of a bit of clutter always cheers me up.

The floral strips I pieced recently look much better ironed,

as do the mixture of pre-cuts that were sewn into long strips.

Cogitating, planning, gentle messing around:

And relaxing with 'Christmas present to self', makes exceedingly good coffee 🙂

  1. Yeaaaaaaaa!!!! We have both been "tidying"!!! And it does feel so good! *Virtuous* even! ,-)))))

Our Christmas is still up. But I beg off, on the fact that my husband was very sick. But he is much better, and I am rested. Sooooo, must start packing up. Or putting in a couple of bags.

We don't put up as much, as in years past. It's quite perfect though. And does not take up that much storage space, upstairs.

    1. I hope your husband feels better soon, the decorations become unimportant when you have health stuff to deal with.

  2. The weather has been particularly boring recently, and since coming down with a really rubbish cold, the incentive to do ANYTHING has evaporated. Going too make tentative steps into the summerhouse to try a bit of making and see if that helps x

  4. Very little beats a good cup of coffee, I have the same coffee pot, purchased in Spain, we don't use our enough, unless our Spanish family are here, then it never cools down.

    1. These little pots certainly get around :) I always assumed they were French, but they are not - they are Italian.

  5. Just catching up on your posts. We've been away testing out the car & van in this hot weather for 3 nights in Ballarat. All went well, this time. Your garden is looking lovely & the photo of Daisy on the lounge is ever so cute. You've definitely been busy, even when tired. Take care.

  6. Concerning "The Lot Next Door"... Actually they are not putting it up, quickly. As this has been going on, for some time now.... Which my click-able link shows.

It does look quick, now. But the process has been going on, for a long time. On that link, I am chronicaling the process. :-)
