Playing

Despite having a perfectly good software package which could do this, there is still a lot of simple fun to be had with paper and coloured pencils.

Haven't started the quilt.

  1. I'd still rather go for pencil and paper over any other drawing tool - despite loving my computer - it will never replace the original tools

    1. I have had the box of Derwent watercolour pencils for many, many years and whenever I get them out these days I think of you :)

  2. My graph book, ruler, pencil & eraser even go away with me in the van. Usually take some coloured pencils along for the ride too. In fact I've been playing with the graph book today, although I'd made up my mind to get 6 tops quilted by January. No 6 is on the machine now, so I'll soon be able to play. I'll post about some finishes soon. Take care.

    1. I have a pad and pencils in the van, but it's for notes rather than creativity.

SIX tops? Wow, well done, want some of my backlog?

  3. Quilting is not always about the production part of the process. The planning and imagining early on makes all the difference.
