Happy Adoption Day

The poster girl for how a rescue dog can be transformed has been with us for six years:  312 weeks, 2184 days  ๐Ÿพ

These first photos of her still break my heart.

Our darling Daisy is now an old girl, but we reckon she is happy with life at Bag End.

I made Daisy a promise when she came to us that she would never, ever be scared or cold whilst under my care;  I hope I haven't broken it yet and that I never will.

  1. Happy Adoption Day, Daisy. I bet she doesn't remember a thing about her early days now, such is the fabulous life she's had since she met you. No dog could wish for a better life. Love that photo of her with her tongue sticking out, awwww.

  2. Lucky ladies and that's both of you, we have cats, but like you we promised they would be happy, warm and well fed for the rest of their lives.

  3. This post and the first two photos brought tears to my eyes - Daisy looked such a sad pathetic scrap but thanks to the love and care you've so obviously given her she's turned into an adorable dog with a life she enjoys. I love all the photos but my favourite just has to be the third one :)

  4. The first thing I noticed was the difference in your dogs ears. Rather flat in her kennels and standing very proud in her new home. A very happy pooch!

  5. Like Eleanor wrote the ears tell the story. The Yorkshire Wildlife Park recently published similar before and after photos of one of the bears they rescues from a Japanese zoo. Like Daisy the eyes and expression were so animated in the after photos.

  8. Happy adoption day! It's wonderful you found one another. I think she settled in quite well ๐Ÿ˜‰ It has been a similar situation for Mog and I suspect she came from the same shelter. X

  9. I'm sure she's never been happier & she picked the right pair to spend her life with. Having met her I know she's a lovely girl, so big hugs from Auntie Susan down under. Take care.
