Slumming it

Abandoned Management and Daisy today, popped out for a browse around the shops.

Had coffee whilst I was out . . .

I could do with a little tray for when I'm just having a drink; whilst the old roasting pan did a very good job, I think Bill deserves something nicer 😊😊

  1. It looks very civilised! Coffee always tastes better out of your own mug. X

    1. Quite right Jules, and tastes even better with feet up, Kindle to hand, and some 90% Lindt chocolate!

  2. What you need is one of those pretty little melamine trays, that come in assorted sizes and pretty florals. I've a couple and use them all the time for all manner of things. I'll pop on a photo on email of what I'm talking about. Only one coffee per day for me (made with lactose free milk of course), otherwise it's ordinary tea or ginger/lemon or maybe peppermint/spearmint and lots of water and only dark chocolate when I have some. BTW, I've now picked over 13.5kgs of blueberries! Take care.

  3. We have a couple of small trays, just enough for a mug of drink and a biscuit.

    1. I don't know about your van Marlene, but we have plenty of flat surface everywhere except at the far end which, of course, is where I like to curl up.

  4. Quite nice to enjoy a coffee at home and better still with some Lindt truffles. Maybe you will find a nice tray for serving vs. the roast pan and then you will achieve close to perfection.

  5. I think you're right that Bill needs some more homely touches. I bought a few pretty little melamine trays from the £1 shop. I'm glad you didn't buy takeaway coffee in an awful cardboard cup from the overpriced coffee shops that are in every town now.

    1. No chance of that Eileen, I'm very particular about my coffee (one of the reasons going out in the van is so lovely!)

  6. What I have seen in my friend's caravan and looks like a good idea - those lap or tv trays with the cushion beneath - so the tray can stay flat while the cushion base absorbs the lumps and bumps - ideal for curling up at the end of Bill and your tray can also perch in the same space :)

    1. Excellent idea Kate, but might be a little bulky in Bill, who doesn't have as much storage space as a caravan. Will have to investigate next time I am near 'proper' shops.

I love receiving your comments, sometimes they are the only way I know I am not talking to myself . . . 😊 and I always try to respond to each and every one. So thank you.
