You've come a long way, baby

Four years today, a scared and skinny little thing came to live at Bag End.

If you're new here and don't know Daisy's story with us, it starts in November 2012

I love seeing how she has filled out; first picture November 2012, second one last week:

I hope they have been the best four years of her life, and here's to four more (although that would make her an estimated 15 or 16 years old, so I might not get that 😔  )

July 2016:

She remains the most remarkable little dog either Management or I have ever known.  She is never naughty or disobedient, if she doesn't do something we want it is because of our failure to communicate with her.  Daisy is loyal, devoted to us (particularly to me) and apart from a game with her supper asks for very little.  I think it is fair to say we both absolutely adore her 😍😍 .

  1. 'Happy anniversary' to you and Daisy, she's lovely and a credit to your love and care. I'm sure the last four years definitely have been the best of her life - here's to several more :)

    1. Thanks Eunice, I'd put money on the last 4 years having been the most spoilt . . . do you know any other dog who has their own electric blanket on their own memory foam mattress in their own insulated night-time crate?

  2. She's absolutely gorgeous, Jayne. I'd bet anything it's been the best four years of her life, that's why she's so well behaved and loyal. Fingers crossed you get at least another four (my little dog lived to eighteen.) Those ears!! 💜😊 X

    1. Thanks Jules. Another four would be something but as we will never know exactly how old she is it's hard to predict.

  3. Thank goodness you decided to rescue her, and yep, I'm pretty sure that her life with you is better than whatever went before.

    1. Thank you Mereth. I think I have admitted before that we had travelled to the rescue centre seduced by the pitiful photo on their website when I first saw her in person the reaction was "no, that's not the dog I thought we were coming to see". Fortunately for all, we then spent a couple of hours with her which was all it took to realise what a lovely little girl she could be. Even though, at the time, she was no pretty 'poster girl' I remember us saying to each other than regardless of her looks, she was no less deserving and we felt we had to give her a chance. What a splendid decision that turned out to be :)

  4. Four years on and she is remarkable. Give her a big cuddle from the other side of the world & pity we didn't get to spend more time with the 3 of you. Take care.

  8. What a difference those four years have brought to Daisy's life, she really fell on her feet when she came to live with you, but I know the pleasure is felt both ways. Give her a cuddle from me.
