Oops, no, six months out! T`was the night before Summer Solstice:

and it's chucking it down outside so Daisy and I are curled up in front of the fire :(

  1. Lovely photograph. Daisy looks so contented. I'm presently on my sofa under a blanket. I am busy crocheting it though. :) The weather looks much brighter for tomorrow. X

    1. I've just checked tomorrow's forecast and I don't think I will be seeing a solstice sunrise. Look forward to seeing your blanket :)

    1. Sorry Sue! I know the garden badly needs more rain but I would really like to return to the warmth we had a couple of weeks ago.

  3. We've done similar things this afternoon too - we took Moss out for a walk this afternoon and came back drenched!

    1. Aww, poor Moss, and poor you too. Hope the cold is much better and you had plenty of Eldest-baked cake to help recover from the soaking.

    2. It is so much nicer today - been out and enjoying much warmer weather - hope you and Daisy also found some sunshine :)

  4. What? It's our winter here, but Icould do with your lovely wood burner instead of central heating. It's been chucking it down here too overnight, though we did manage a short stroll along Rosebud beach yesterday, as I was getting cabin fever from being cooped up for days on end, then visited an old quilting friend for a chat. Have a good week & take care.

    1. Hi susan, I know I don't need much encouragement to light the wood burner, but it was really chilly at supper time.
Hope you enjoyed your walk and visit.

    1. It's brightened up nicely here and the washing has dried outside but there's no warmth in the ground or in the air. I suspect the fire might get lit again tonight.
