Capturing a moment

It starts slowly at first, then spreading to fill the sky with wonder.  These pictures don't fully capture the beauty but they do help to relive the memory.

I don't know why the images aren't showing in Lightbox mode.  I have the setting turned on, guess Blogger is having a confused moment :{

    1. Thanks Jenny. Just over 15 minutes between the first and last picture, and yes, it was amazing :}

  2. Since I'm a drag-a-bed, I seldom see sunrises. However, last week I did watch the sun come up over the mountains and it was a precursor to a cloudy, blustery day. That red sky at morning thing.

    1. Drag-a-bed, I've not heard that before but I know just what you mean :} Unfortunately it takes clouds to pull off these stunners so yes, often a precursor to a rubbish day.

    1. Thanks Jessica. When we were looking for this house I had "A List" of needs and wants. At the top of the 'want' list was to be able to see the sunrise. I'm a very lucky girl :}

  4. Grr, where did that comment go? What I said (and I apologise if I'm repeating myself) was that it was a beautiful view. Also, I have read over the past few days, of a number of people have difficulty loading photos with Blogger, so it's probably them, not you.

    Now I'm going to hit "publish" and hope I don't disappear into thin air again........

    2. Awww, don't disappear, I'd hate to lose you :}

      I also heard people complaining about the photo upload at present. I have seen a couple of differences - normally I upload the pictures, then select 'large' and then hit the 'remove formatting' button to put the picture on my left margin. That doesn't work now - I have to remove formatting first (which makes the picture full-size) and then select 'large' size. If you look at the HTML, the "break" code is now actually showing in the post editor, it never used to.

      Things change, it's a free service and people still complain, I'd suggest they find a workaround ....

  5. Stunning Jayne :-) It's mostly trees between me and sunrises and sunsets so I shouldn't complain :-) Had some beautiful ones of each here lately. x

  6. PS Just wondered if you received the 'Low Tide' album I shared with you a while ago. I never know if the Picasa share thingy works properly. x

    1. Am glad you liked it Jill. If you can persuade David to bring the 'van back to that lovely site you found near Bassenthwaite you'd get a pretty spectacular view yourself.

      Have emailed you about Picasa :}
