  1. Glad you are getting to eat yours. Most of mine went to birds, ants, skinks and probably a few other pests.

    1. Sorry you lost your crop Susan, most of ours rotted last year with the endless rain. These are in the greenhouse and therefore protected.

  2. Excellent - and I am v jealous! I have strawbs on the plants at the Hill (note to self: take straw bundle down next visit, and netting too), but they are still v green. Did you read the article in the Telegraph the other day which explained why it is such a brill year for tasty strawbs?

    1. Hazel, my outdoor plants are very green, these are the "cosseted under glass" ones.

Don't read any newspapers so do tell ...

  3. We are eating strawberries too. Did you eat them all - not even save one for anyone else to taste?

  4. Wow, your berries actually got to a bowl! Mine never did ... it was too far a walk back from the patch to the kitchen. *heh* 2" of rain since yesterday and more storms headed our way later today. *glub*

    1. Kris, mine made it to the kitchen because Mrs Obsessive Compulsive is keeping a note of the weight. I'm growing the strawbs a few different ways this year and want to see what difference it makes to the yield.

  5. Yum. We've only had the one ripe one so far, and I had to share that with daughter.
