Breakthrough

Daisy has been with us one week and tonight she's feeling settled enough to lay in front of the wood burner whilst I'm in the kitchen fixing supper.  She's not asleep - an eye opens to check what's going on when I walk around but it is a massive breakthrough.

It's lovely to see her luxuriating in the warmth.

    1. Daisy says "ssshhhh, stop disturbing me, am busy temperature-testing the wood-burner"

  2. So glad Daisy is adjusting and feeling more confident in her new environment. And I'm sure having a dog again is quite an adjustment for you, Hobbit. Happy it's all working out for both. :-D

    1. Thanks Kris, she's adjusting pretty well for a skinny bag of bones :} Big adjustments here too but interesting how I've just slipped straight back into "dog Mum" mode and finding it quite natural. Am doing a lot less gardening which is no bad thing :}

    2. Don't worry. Soon it'll be Spring and Daisy will be outside gardening with you.

  4. Cough is not too bad thanks. BTW do you have any problems with your stove and a really dry atmosphere. Am wondering if our wood burner is contributing to my sore throat and chestiness! Now have a jug of water standing on the hearth.

    1. Jill, haven't experienced any humidity (or lack thereof) problems since having the wood burner fitted. About time you went to the Doctor, young lady and had your chest listened to .... :}
