A sneak peak

A coffee-break preview of what I am working on:

Joan should recognise the backing fabric - one of the very special purchases we made together in St Louis (I knew if I kept it long enough I would find exactly the right project to use it on!)

  2. You obviouslt haven't lost your magical touch then. The quilting looks great.

  3. Sue, what you said was lovely, regardless of how you spelt it! I was about halfway in these photos (started work at the beginning of the week) and got the quilting finished yesterday afternoon.

    Now for construction ... as you know, I don't "do" three-dimensional very well!

  5. James - the quilting was the easy bit. Turning it into a three-dimensional cover is stretching my brain cell this afternoon (which is why I usually only make quilts - nice and flat!)

  6. Isn't turning shapes around in your head supposed to be a man-brain thing, like map reading? Actually, that means naff all - I'm good at reading maps for instance.

    But maybe it would it do your girl-brain good to employ Management to this task? (unless this is likely to cause WW3 on this day of peace & goodwill to all men etc etc?!)

  7. Hazel, you're absolutely right, it's a spatial-awareness thing but like you, I can read maps without any difficulty!

    As for asking Management - hmm, let's just move swiftly on shall we? He does offer suggestions, bless him, but doesn't cope well when/if they are not the answers I am looking for :}
