A Visit to Harlow Carr, part 3

Kitchen Garden

Crab Apple used as a fedge for the kitchen garden, really effective.

Leading into the edible area are long borders full of herbs and plants to attract pollinating insects.

Willow planted to make a living trellis for sweet peas - now there's an idea to copy:

Finally, just for Flummery:

  1. What's the blue plant with the bees round it ,,, I have see that growing wild but not sure what it is!

  2. Jill, this is borage, wonderful native plant, and you can eat the flowers - add to salads, etc.

So there I am, chuntering on to myself, but it would be lovely to hear from you.

Thanks to all who take the time to comment - it makes my day 😊

and I always delete spam - my blog, my rules :-}
