Last frost date?

By the look of Skiddaw this morning, obviously not yet!

  2. Just been talking to one of the Loweswater Puffins and she (like us) had to put the heating on at the weekend, something she never remembers having to do since living here.

  3. The penines and the Eastern fells were white over with snow this morning. Blencathra looked splendid. You'll find a photo posted later if you wish to look!

  5. "Last frost date" I asked a few down at the Allotment the same question end of last week..response was "June" "When in June? I asked, "Yes thats right, June" came the reply...

  6. Flummery - glad it's not just us feeling the cold (I thought we were such wimps putting the heating on until I heard Ann had done the same)

    Mr Photo - it's snowed on my birthday before (and that was "down South") so I don't find any of this surprising.

  7. Put the heating back on, its never gone off here. Managed to cut back the time it's on but not actually turn it off.

    This time last year the patio doors in the living room were generally being flung open most days.

  9. Nome - there is a cure for wanting to be here so much it's like a physical ache. Move house - we did it, so have many of our friends ....
